PrivoDiary is a personal journaling application that prompts users to create short video entries during the day. Depending on the version and features you enable, the app may store your entries locally on your device and may process certain technical or account-related information necessary to operate the service.

Your videos and diary content are intended for your personal use. The app is not designed as a public social network.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on the features you use, PrivoDiary may collect or process the following categories of data:

• Account information - such as your email address, sign-in provider identifier, or profile name, if you sign in using Google, Apple, or another authentication provider.
• User-created content - including short video diary entries, optional captions, tags, timestamps, and related metadata.
• Device permissions and local files - such as camera, microphone, notifications, and access to media storage where required for the app to function.
• Technical and diagnostic data - such as app version, device model, operating system, crash logs, and performance information.

Note: If videos are stored only on the user’s device and are not uploaded to external servers, make that explicit here and in the store listing.

• To maintain account access and subscription status, where applicable.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data only in the following situations:

• Service providers - for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, hosting, or other infrastructure support.
• App store or payment platforms - such as Google Play or Apple App Store, when needed to process purchases and subscriptions.
• Legal compliance - if disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
• Business transfer - if the app or developer business is merged, acquired, or sold.

If PrivoDiary stores entries exclusively on-device and does not upload videos to remote servers, then user video content is not shared externally except where the user explicitly exports or shares it.

5. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of storage, transmission, or security is perfect. In other words, absolute security is one of humanity’s favorite fairy tales.

• Local storage - diary videos may be stored on your device.
• Cloud or backend storage - if enabled in your product architecture, certain account or technical data may be processed on secure external infrastructure.
• Retention - we retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any accounts used to access the app.

6. Permissions

PrivoDiary may request the following permissions, depending on platform and enabled features:

• Camera - to record diary videos.
• Microphone - to capture audio with your recordings.
• Notifications - to remind you to record moments during the day.
• Photos / Media / Files - to save, read, export, or compile video content where required.

You can usually manage app permissions through your device settings. Disabling some permissions may limit app functionality.

7. International Data Transfers

If any personal data is processed outside your country of residence, we will take reasonable steps to ensure such data is protected in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.

If your data is stored locally on your device only, many deletion and control actions may be performed directly by uninstalling the app or deleting content within the app.

PrivoDiary is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction unless specifically stated otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services

PrivoDiary may rely on third-party services such as authentication providers, payment processors, analytics platforms, crash reporting tools, or hosting providers. Those services may process personal data under their own privacy policies.

Examples may include: Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Firebase, RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, Apple App Store, or similar tools, depending on your implementation.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other appropriate means.
